Initiatives Implemented During Compliance Month

Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“the Company”) designates every November as “Compliance Month,” during which we implement a variety of initiatives to further strengthen our compliance framework. This fiscal year, from November through December, we carried out the following three initiatives.


1. Message from the President

A direct message from top management plays an essential role in enhancing the compliance mindset across the entire organization. This year, we produced the first video message from our newly appointed President and distributed it not only to our headquarters but also to group companies in Japan and overseas. In the message, the President emphasized that compliance is a fundamental pillar of corporate value and called on all officers and employees to proactively engage in compliance-related efforts.


2. Compliance Seminars

We invited lawyers from the United States and the United Kingdom to deliver seminars on global trends in competition law, economic sanctions regulations, and anti-corruption measures. Additionally, our corporate legal counsel conducted seminars on preventing insider trading and workplace harassment. All sessions were delivered via video distribution, creating an opportunity for officers and employees to recognize compliance as a matter of personal responsibility.


3. Compliance Awareness Survey

We conducted a survey to understand employees’ awareness of compliance issues and gather feedback from the field. The survey collected opinions on current challenges, areas for improvement, and expectations for future initiatives. These insights will be incorporated into upcoming measures to further strengthen our compliance system. Through two-way communication, we remain committed to building an even more effective compliance framework.
